PROF LAM PIN WOON (Chairperson)

A/Prof Lam Pin Woon is the Corporate Director / Advisor of several companies across the Asia-Pacific. A/Prof Lam was was previously the President & Executive Director of public listed Healthway Medical Corporation Ltd, the biggest out-patient healthcare provider in Singapore with presence in China. Prior to that, he held senior positions as the Chief Executive Officer of the Health Promotion Board, the Chief Executive Officer of Cerebos Pacific Ltd and the Managing Director of Quaker Oats Asia Inc.

PROF ROBERT BEAGLEHOLE

Prof Beaglehole trained in medicine, epidemiology and public health in New Zealand, England and the USA before becoming a public health physician. He was Professor of Community Health at the University of Auckland, New Zealand (1988-1999). He joined the staff of the World Health Organization in 2000 and between 2004 and 2007 directed the Department of Chronic Disease and Health Promotion. He is now an independent global public health practitioner with a focus on the prevention and control of chronic diseases and especially tobacco control.

PROF YOUNG-BUM PARK

Dr. Park is Professor Emeritus at Hansung University in Korea and a Board Member of the Korea Harm Reduction Association. He recently published a book on tobacco harm reduction entitled, "Tobacco Harm Reduction and Tax Policy". He served as the 6th President of the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training and the 13th President of the Human Resource Development of Korea. Prof Park received his PhD in Economics at Cornell University in the US and holds two bachelors degrees (English and Economics) from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Korea.

PROF TIKKI PANGESTU
 
Prof Tikki Pangestu served for 13 years at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland as Director of its Research Policy & Cooperation department where he worked with countries to strengthen their national health research systems to improve the efficiency and transparency of global health research, and helped formulate an Organization-wide research policy.

Prior to the WHO, Prof Tikki was Professor of Biomedical Sciences at the Institute of Postgraduate Studies & Research, and Associate Professor / Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Malaya. Prof Tikki's main research and academic interests are in infectious diseases, the impact of genomics on public health, global health governance, national health research systems, research transparency and accountability, and the use of evidence in health policy development.
